October 11, 2003 I.D.P.A. El-Prez Challenge Match
ASHLAND LAKE GUN CLUB'S FIRST (ANNUAL?)
EL-PREZIDENTE SUPER CHALLENGE. This was the standard El-Prez at 10 yards. You could shoot this
event as many times as you want at $3.00 a try. The shooter with the lowest
score in each division is taking home %50 of the total take in that division.
The scores are in and counted and I hate to be the
one to say this but, it looks like the contest might have been rigged from the
get-go. Although I can assure you it was not. It simply was a good day at the
office for John M. who took top honors in both the CDP and SSP divisions. You
wouldn't have expected this after looking at his scores from the regular
match. Also kudos to Mark B. for top honors in the Stock Service Revolver
Division (a last minute addition because he had cash).
As we continue to
learn and improve, next year we will shoot the El-Prez in ALL divisions and ALL
classifications and include an unclassified class. Also the match will start at
9:00 AM with the other match so you can shoot early and shoot often.

would also like to extend an extra special thank you to Phil, Rod Paul, John and
especially Rudy. Due to your extra participation in the El-Prez it looks like
the range loans are now going to be paid off early. Also thank you to Larry W.
and John M. who donated their winnings back to the Ashland Lake Gun Club.
