The Back-up Gun Match
 Thank you to everyone
who came out, despite the chance of rain, and made our last
match of the '03 season a success. Our backup gun match
included six stages that had everything from moving targets
to moving shooters. Speed was the order of the day in
"Savings Bond Witness". If you were one of the shooters who
had the target disappear before you had your 5 shots off you
can attest to this. This is a challenge that I can
assure you, will make an appearance again next
year.
Quite a few shooters were left "holding the bag" in "Your a
Cop, Do Something". We all need to practice our one handed
shooting at 3 yards, (myself included, -5).
Many thanks to Ashland Lake Gun Club's very own, world
renowned chefs of "Combat Cuisine" who made a wide variety of
chili that was guaranteed to satisfy every kind of palate
imaginable. If anyone went away hungry it was their own
fault.
The Staff from Ashland Lake Gun Club's IDPA program would
like to thank everyone who came out and made our program the
success that it was this year. Without shooter participation,
there would not be a program. If anyone has any
ideas or suggestions on improvements for next year, please
let them be known. Were always looking for new
ideas.
Also, the Staff from the IDPA program would like to take this
opportunity to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday and
winter season. Hopefully we will see everyone again in the
spring showing off their new firearm or accessory that they
got for Christmas.
