Shooters,

Thank you for coming out in the mud and shooting Saturday. It was a wet day, but at least it did not rain on us.

October was the last regular match of the IDPA season. All that is left is the Back Up Gun Match on Sunday, November 8.

Registration for the BUG match will open about 1:00 PM. FYI, the BUG match is held on a Sunday and we can't shoot on Sunday until 12:00 PM. The SO's will be shooting from 12:00 until about 1:30.

The BUG match will probably have 6 courses of fire. All COF's are limited to 5 rounds each. Don't have a BUG gun? Don't worry about it, shoot what you have and have fun.

Some have asked if there is going to be another classifier. No, sorry, this is not going to happen.

And last, there have been some rumblings about last years chile cook off competition. Words like "Fixed", "Rigged" and "Ballot Box Stuffing" have been thrown about the club over the summer. For those that don't remember last year, there were only 2 entries, Julie Amtsberg and myself. Some how the ballot box was stuffed with 72 votes. We only had 43 shooters. Suspicious?? I think so!!!

So, we'll try again this year. (We are going to use a locked ballot box).

If you have a favorite chile recipe, make up a pot to share. I will have hot dogs, buns, grated cheese and onions for chile dogs.

Lets try to get more of a competition than we did last year, a few more pots. Remember, the winner of the chile cook off wins a free shoot for next year.
