Match June 18, 2011
The Ashland County Sheriff Dept called to inform me that The Fin and Wal-Mart filed a police report that all there pistol ammo is gone. I told them it was all at ALGC this past Saturday being shot up at our monthly IDAP match (just kidding). NINETY shooters, yes NINETY, showed up for the June match this past Saturday. The shooting was hot and so was the weather!
Master class Kirk Crego took us all to school with and impressive 49.84 score. Even more impressive, he shot in the SSR division with a revolver. John Moson was not far behind in the SSP division with a 51.17, and yours truly took the 3rd spot with a 53.99 (those procedurals really hurt). Fred Phillips had a great day shooting a Glock 21 with a 76.59 in CDP MM (the best I have ever seen him shoot). Don Firca was only 3 points down and took the top spot in SSP NO class with a 63.90. This guy is only a Novice, he definitely will be moving up in classification. Ed Gubeno Jr. was also only 3 points down for the entire match with outstanding accuracy.
We had a lot of help show up and made for a little easier day for our hard working SO’s and cooks. As always but never enough, thank you guys and gals for all your dedication and hard work. These folks do not get paid for this; it is totally out of generosity and love of the sport. Without them, I would not be able to provide this program we all love to partake in. Make sure you thank them when you see them. Thanks again everyone!!!

-We are getting a lot of new shooters at the matches now, which is great. But please take note that your weapons are to be unloaded at all time unless shooting the stage, and ARE TO REMAIN IN THE HOLSTER unless shooting the stage or in the safe areas. Violating this rule is a real good way to get thrown off the range and make the SO’s very nervous. Please keep the weapons in the holsters at all times unless instructed by and SO.
-The reason we cannot start the matches before 9:00am is do to a club rule of no shooting before 9:00am. This is a courtesy to the surrounding neighbors and we
must adhere to this. Some of the ALGC club members have a hard time telling time and need a refresher. Make note: NO SHOOTING BEFORE 9:00AM (NO DISPARAR ANTES DE las 9:00AM).
