Two – Gun Match / Chili-Bean Burn-off

Saturday, March 12th, 10:00 am

As I write this, we are in the midst of one of OH’s famous January blizzards. It makes one’s spirit turn towards warm and pleasant things…. such as piles of freshly ejected brass and blazing chili!!!

The first match of the 2005 season will be a Tactical Rifle / Tactical Shotgun Match, followed by the famous Chili-Bean Burn-off.

The courses that we shoot will be VERY dependent on the range conditions on that day. If they are really wet and sloppy, shooting may be limited. We don’t want to ruin the ranges for the rest of the spring. However, if they are relatively dry, we will have at least one rifle stage and two shotgun stages. Bring at least 50 rounds of rifle ammunition and at least 25 rounds of buckshot. I’d like to set up a man-against-man steel plate fun match on the Bowling Pin range. We can shoot shotguns, handguns and pistol caliber carbines on that range, so bring whatever you want.

The Chili-Bean Burn-off is a potluck, BYOB event. Bring a pot of your favorite chili or bean soup recipe. Other side dishes, chips, deserts, etc., are appreciated and welcome. This event will start immediately after clean up of the ranges, and go until the wee hours of the night.
