FOURTH ANNUAL THREE GUN TACTICAL CHALLENGE
Saturday, October 7th
What can you say about Jason "Crazy Legs" Henthorne? Well, when he's off, he's really off. Runs like a gazelle, misses everything, and entertains us all. But when he's on, he leaves us all in his dust. In two out of four stages, he did just that, while coming in second and third in the other two stages. Overall, he shellacked everyone.
This year's Three Gun Match, "72 Virgins, No Waiting!" had an overall theme of fighting Jihadist terror attacks on domestic soil.
"Trunk Gun Tango-Takedown" featured a civilian thwarting a terrorist attack on a shopping mall with his trusty riot gun from his car?s trunk.
"The Road to Paradise" was a shotgun / handgun stage, featuring shooting a shotgun from the back of a truck, leaping out and engaging targets with a handgun, finishing up with a swinging target.
"Jornada del Muerto" took place in the desolate arroyos of the 300 yard range, featuring 40 targets engaged from four different positions and on the move, all on one start. A real marathon of fast moving and rifle shooting.
"Never Underestimate Your Enemy" was a rifle / handgun stage involving a LEO coming across a terrorist bomb-making cell, and having to fight his way out with his handgun, then rifle.
My thanks to all of the guys who worked so hard to pull it off, once again. You know who you are. It?s been a great four years. We started with nothing but an idea, and developed it into a thriving program. I regret that I must now take a break from being a director. Who is going to step up to the challenge next year?
