TACTICAL

This clinic is
offered for anyone who is interested in getting involved in the
discipline of Tactical Shotgun competition. Attendees should
already be familiar with the fundamentals of firearms safety,
and the operation of shotguns. If you don?t meet these
requirements, but would still like to attend, please contact the
program director.
The clinic will
begin with a classroom session at the Pavilion. Safety,
equipment, techniques, tactics and program rules will be
discussed. Coffee will be provided. From there, we will move on
to the range for live fire training.
Cost: $10.00, pre-registration is NOT required. ($5
Affiliate Member fee applies for non-members).
What to bring: Gun: A 12 or 20 ga. pump or
semi-automatic shotgun, preferably short-barreled, with
iron-sights. No rifled barrels. If the only thing you have is a
long barreled hunting shotgun, that?s fine. Note: A
short-stocked, ported 20 ga. shotgun will be available for use
by ladies. Please contact the program director for details!!!
Ammo: A minimum of 100 rounds of birdshot. Cheap promotional
loads are fine (#6 or larger birdshot please). A minimum of 10
rounds of buckshot. A minimum of 10 slugs. You will need some
type of shell carrier or bandoleer. I recommend an across the
chest bandoleer, but a waist bandoleer will work.
Hearing and eye protection is mandatory AT ALL TIMES when you
are on the range. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Lunch and drinks
will not be provided. We will be taking a short break at noon,
to chow and set up the match that will start at 1:00 pm. Clinic
attendees can shoot this match for an additional $5.
