Three Gun Match

A huge thanks to all the range officers that took the day off of work to help setup the match on Friday. I hope all the shooters thanked you for your service. We could not put on this big of an event without the tremendous support from the staff/shooters, thanks again for another great year!
This year we actually had 6 courses of fire, but listed them as only 5, all I can say is Wow! That is just about the limit of what we can handle, most of us are a little cantankerous as it is. One of the nice things about each S.O. designing his own course of fire, is we all get to shoot the unique styles/personalities built into the match. Some are designed to make you buy more pistol mags than you’ll ever need! Some are designed to feel more like a traditional 3 gun match with hanging clays. Some are designed to “just shoot” don’t think “just shoot” Yes it’s easy” just shoot”! Some are designed to make you wonder about the person who designed it, PVC pipe, duct tape and a bag???? Some are designed with smoke and mirrors, well just smoke anyway. I am sure you had your own takeaway from each stage. In total they were all great courses of fire and complemented the personalities of the designers.
Congratulations to the match winner in each division, Tim Swineford took the enhanced, Nathan Wilson took the Stock, while Roy Mitchell took the open division. Roy Mitchell not only took his own division, but won the overall best time of the day, Nice Job Buddy! Oh! And thanks to Jen Thomas for a much needed gaggle of laughter, we needed it!
