IDPA Ohio State Match 2009 - Complete Details

What a shooter can expect:

Twelve tried, tested and true IDPA courses of fire from up close and personal to reach out and touch someone.

Round count:

Varies with shooters ability; bring lots, you can always take them home. Bullets have a good shelf life if properly stored. For those of you who have a fixation with numbers, 200 rounds.

Lunch:

We will be feeding and watering the shooters. There will be a one hour lunch break held around mid-day. There will be one lunch coupon and three beverage coupons in the shooter’s packets. Additional lunches and beverages will be available for purchase.

Pre-registration:

This is a must for the match and The Night Before Dinner Extravaganza. Registration will be limited to the first 120 paid shooters. Shooters must be registered no later than Friday, August 9, 2009. (41 days before the match) Any registration requests received after August 9, may be accepted if room permits however, you may not qualify for a tee-shirt or award plaque. Orders for these items will go out August 10, 2009. (also see match fees for late registration).

Sign-in:

Sign in will open at Ashland Lake Gun Club at 6:00 AM Saturday morning. Shooters in the neighborhood the night before can register at the dinner extravaganza. Shooters meeting will be at 7:30 AM.

Match fees:

Cost of the match is $85.00 if registered before July 20, 2009. Registration received after July 20, add $20.00 late fee. If in doubt, add the $20.00. Why the extra $20.00? People tend to procrastinate on registration; hopefully this will motivate shooters to register early so I can order food, shirts, beverages, award plaques, ect. Registration will be limited to the first 120 paid shooters. Please help make my job easy.

Squading:

Any shooters wishing to shoot together as a group are asked to send their registration forms and match fees in together, and with who they would like to squad with. We will do are best to try and accommodate everyone’s wishes.

Safe Gun Handling Area and CCW Statement:

Ohio is finally a concealed carry state with reciprocity with many surrounding states. If you choose to carry a concealed handgun on to Ashland Lake Gun Club property that is fine, however ALGC operates a cold range. Immediately upon arriving at ALGC either remove your carry gun and store it safely in your motor vehicle or unload your carry gun at your vehicle. Anyone caught carrying a loaded firearm anywhere on ALGC property will be immediately disqualified from the match. No questions asked, no second chances, no refunds issued. Permitted safe gun handling areas will be at your motor vehicle or in the designated area behind the IDPA storage shed.
