2003 IDPA Classifier
May 17, 2003After the Smoke Cleared
We couldn't have had a
better day for our annual classifier. It was bright and sunny, with Mother
Nature on our side this year. The first shot went off around 0915, and all the
shooting was finished by 1300. Our staff processed just over forty shooters,
with eager anticipation of lunch at the White Sand Beaches of Ashland Lake. (the
scores are here)
Our lunch
was provided by Combat Cuisine, under the command of Sgt. Major Wenger. Hey
Emerald, watch out! Overall, I believe everyone had a wonderful time. Our
top-notch IDPA staff kept our classifier safe, and moving right along. The
Pistol Directors would like to thank all of our SO's for your time and energy.
It is greatly appreciated, and your efforts are not unnoticed.
Shooters:
We were unable to process your scores at the match. There is only so much help.
We have them currently, and will provide all results at the next match. If
you're unable to make our next match, which I hope isn't a factor, we can email
them to you. Once again, it is you the shooter that makes our sport what it is.
Ashland Lake IDPA is only a tunnel for your aspirations. We have some
challenging courses of fire this year, so please reference our schedule for
match dates. All of our matches start at 0900. Last year we had some
overwhelming turnouts and the ranges were kept hot until after 1500. Our SO's
take a beating on long days, especially when the temperature hits over 90. This
year we have adopted a new policy. All sign in activity must be between 0900 and
1200. Please take note of that.
It is your right to keep and bear
arms. It is your obligation to stay proficient with them.
Thank
you
