Two Gun Match and Chili-Bean Burn-off
March 6th, 2004
10:00 am
Pistol Ranges and 100-yard rifle range
Thanks to everyone for showing up on a cold and windy day (at least it was dry). Everything went smoothly, and my truck “prop” only picked up a few buckshot dings, which only served to make it look "cooler". And to think some people spend money on "bullet hole" stickers for their cars....
This first match of 2004 was a Two Gun Match. The shotgun
portion was all buckshot. The rifle
portion was relatively short range, 100 yards or less. You had to reload on the clock, so spare magazines were required. Scores are here.
"Crazy Legs" blew everyone away in shotgun. If he figures out how to shoot a rifle as well as his shotgun, we're all in trouble. Also of note, new member Mark McJ won in both of his divisions. SCSA's loss is definitely our gain. All of the scores can be found here.
Our next event will be a Tactical
Rifle match (short range), April 10th. At press time, this course had not been designed. Keep an eye on the web page more info as we get closer to match time.
Following the match was the Chili-Bean Burn-off at the
pavilion. An entirely potluck and BYOB event and a good time was had by all.
NOTE: Changes have been made to the
rules. Please review them before the first match.
