We made it! Nobody got soaked, nice…. The match was smaller and ran efficiently, thanks to Roy Mitchell and Tim Swineford for helping run two extra courses of fire. I also really appreciated everybody helping with the teardown after the match, that’s the way it should be, thanks again.
I must say watching some of the more “supposed” regulars was quite comical, I got a good chuckle…. pretty much for the entire run. I had plenty of “wtf” moments myself! All in good fun! The one thing 85% of the shooters need to remember is how to load a slug with a current (partially loaded) shotgun. I saw just about everyone open the action and try to drop a slug in the chamber with a round of shot on the follower ready to be feed into the chamber. Fortunately you can’t load them both. That only works with an empty gun guys! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made that mistake, just not yesterday.
